Z-Wave radio-frequency technology requires no wiring Module allows dimming of incandescent light Module doubles as a repeater for increased signal reliability
Installing a dimmer on a lamp can add instant ambience to any room, but running wires can be cost-prohibitive. By connecting a lamp to a Z-Wave Plug-in Lamp Module, you'll be able to control it remotely using a radio-frequency controller, so no wires need to be run, and you won't have to rely on power lines to get your commands to your lamp. The lamp module accepts timed signals, so you can schedule your lamp to turn on at dusk, convenient if you're away from home. By using radio frequency technology, Z-Wave components require no wiring, and since each module includes a repeater function, adding more modules to your Z-Wave network actually improves reliability. Note: Z-Wave technology is not X10 compatible.
The Z-Wave Plug-in Lamp Module will control a floor or table lamp up to 300 watts. Installation is easy, and two-way feedback confirms that each device is set up and working properly. Once set up, you'll be able to turn incandescent lights on and off and dim them using a Master Remote Controller or a Handy Controller (each sold separately); take advantage of the manual override function to turn the lights off at their source. |
